This Standard modifies and has been reproduced from IEC 60601-2-2:1998 with a ZZ Appendix for additional Australian and New Zealand requirements. A thorough working knowledge of its Parent Standard, AS/NZS 3200.1.0:1998, or a readily available copy, is necessary to deal with some of the technical issues raised.
