This standard describes minimum requirements for rubber-seated butterfly valve assemblies 78 in. (2,000mm) diameter and larger with flanged ends, used in potable water service. It may be referenced in specifications for materials, design, fabrication, coatings, testing, marking, and delivery. The standard includes information (not part of the standard) on unloading, storage, inspection, installation, field testing, operation, and maintenance.
