This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of new challenges that water utilities are facing: new risks to water quality; issues in a small community water system; financing water infrastructure; and, workforce issues. A survey is presented of the Illinois Water Survey database that indicates that regionalization is nota panacea. While regionalization does seem to have benefits interms of salary and qualifications, those don't seemto translate necessarily into indicators ofoperational capacity. Includes tables.
