Full Description
Water supplies can blend multiple water resources to meet one or more goals. In practice, the blend ratio often reflects the available water resources rather than an integratedassessment of the resource, its quality and the application of the water. In the search fornew resources, desalination is often mentioned as a viable option. Desalinating water canprovide product water dramatically different from water of conventional treatmentmethods. This is especially true in water supply systems delivering water of high salinityand hardness.Copenhagen City, Denmark, (pop. 0.5 million) is currently supplied with relatively hardand saline water, with hardness and TDS levels around 370 mg (as CaCOsub3/sub)/l and 560mg/l, respectively. This study describes possible consequences of diluting the watersupplied to Copenhagen City with desalinated water. Includes 8 references, table, figure. Product Details
