Full Description

This paper will review the basis and methodology for setting drinking water standards under the Safe Drinking Water Act. The introduction will cover the structure of the US Government as this relates to setting and enforcing standards, and the history of US drinking water standards. The paper will then describe the process of setting drinking water standards and some of the key issues being addressed during reauthorization of the Safe Drinking Water Act.
