Full Description

The performance of a two-stage water treatment system employing contact clarification and filtration was examined via a case study of a pilot demonstration conducted at a surface water source serving a small northern Pennsylvania community. The study demonstrated that the system produced water quality surpassing state and federal standards for turbidity, metals, and Giardia removal. The water treatment system is commercially available from the author's company in package, modular, and large scale plants.
