Full Description
Network analysis hardware and software provide ability to handle large systems of pressure-flow equations, graphic techniques allow full comprehension of system reaction based on hydraulic simulation. But how can a utility collect and enter the necessary data for every pipe and nonpipe facility in the system and assign elevations and demands correctly? This paper describes how the City of San Jose, California, went about it. A figure gives a network model formulation flowchart, and the bulk of the article explains the process. Facilities, coordinate system, demands, elevations, verification of the model, and benefits are discussed in some detail. Product Details
