Full Description

Several different methods of horizontally crossing under highways have been developed. The working area required, labor involved and equipment needed for operation varies widely between these methods. Wet boring with the use of air-powered drills, air-powered piercing tools, case bore auger machines, and pusher/puller applications are discussed. Also presented is a new development of a high performance buried pipe and cable location tool that is capable of accurate push button depth readouts.
