This article describes Oregon's efforts to secure and administer its share of the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF), a fund established by the 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) amendments to help states and their community drinking water systems meet regulations. Specifically discussed is the Oregon Safe Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund (SDWRLF), a program developed over the course of 18 months in close cooperation with the Oregon Drinking Water Advisory Committee, the Oregon Health Division, the Oregon Economic Development Department, and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.
