Full Description

This paper describes the relationship between traditional heterotrophic bacteria (HPC) and a new enumeration procedure, SimPlate (Idexx). Environmental samples were used for analysis from the Thames Water Utilities Ltd region of the United Kingdom. Conventional HPC were carried out in accordance with the pour plate method. Parallel analysis was done according to the manufacturer's instructions using the SimPlate method. Results obtained from these methods were compared for similarity.
