Full Description
This article provides a general description of the Boston, Massachusetts water supply, current problems in its aging water system, and programs for the rehabilitation and continuous maintenance of the water distribution system. The creation of the Boston Water and Sewer Commission (BWSC) in 1977 has helped establish a long-term capital improvement and system maintenance program that will ensure continued service to customers.
