Full Description

The authors describe a new rotating voltammetric membrane electrode that is suitable for in situ monitoring of chlorine dioxide (Clo2) at concentrations of less than 1 mg/L. The electrode was tested with samples of distilled water, tap water, river water, and sewage effluent. When compared with the chlorophenol red (CPR) and iodometric methods for measuring Clo2, the electrode produced results similar to those obtained with the CPR method; the iodometric method gave higher results than the other two methods. Includes 7 references, table, figure.
