Full Description
An interagency connection is an intertie between distinct, separate water systems; it is a physical connection between the water sources operated by adjacent water agencies. Several types of distribution system interconnections are possible, from the use of connections for particular emergencies to the implementation of sophisticated interconnections between major importation facilities. In southern California, interagency connections have proven to be important backup sources. Fire protection and fire insurance rates are factors considered, along with water quality problems and construction costs. Three case studies are given to demonstrate the benefits of interagency connections. Product Details
