Full Description

Water suppliers have unwillingly, and sometimes unwittingly, provided a basic service for the electric utility that can result in damage to their equipment, injury to their employees, and deterioration in water quality. It is now evident that grounding electrodes should be separated completely from the water supplier's piping system. The separation of grounding electrodes from water piping would protect the integrity of the water suppler's piping system and the quality of the water contained therein, as well as minimize the hazards to water supply personnel. Also covered are National Electric Code (NEC) requirements, multiple transformer connections, and corrosion complaints. Includes 11 references, figures.
